Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

I really liked this book because it is full of all the things you could ever need in a book, magic, danger, love, hate, heroes, friends and enemies, it is truly amazing! Harry Potter is that rare type of book series that is loved by people of all ages across the globe. The book made me feel like I was there watching every little thing that was happening , (it was like magic). I don’t know how J.K. Rowling comes up with these types of stories, but they have changed my life forever, because if I didn’t have the HP series I wouldn’t be me as everybody who knows me knows that I love the Harry Potter series:)                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Like all the Harry Potter books I read this one when I was seven  and have been enchanted by it ( and all of them) since then.

Here is the synopsis :                                                                                              Harry Potter is in fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, or is supposed to be very soon….when disaster strikes! Harry and Dudley are attacked by Dementors and as Dudley is a Muggle he can’t see them so Harry has to perform a spell in order to save them. The Ministry isn’t happy with this so they expel him from Hogwarts, but Dumbledore doesn’t accept this so he goes to court with Harry and gets him back. The Ministry  then decide that Dumbledore is against them and is plotting to take over.                                                                                                                                                                                                 I hope my review has made you want to read the book and if you’ve already read it please comment and tell me what you think or try and watch the film. 🙂

Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls by Francesca Cavallo and Elena Favilli

Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls is Francesca Cavallo’s 7th children’s book, I love the book, it is inspiring and very fun to read, I took it into school and showed my friends and teacher, we talked about adding it to the class bookshelf and school library. It’s the number one must-have bedtime story. It has the stories of women such as: Michelle Obama (Lawyer and First African-American First Lady), Cora Carolina (Poet and Baker), Malala Yousafzai (Activist), Jane Austen (Writer)…

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L.Frank Baum

I really liked this book because it was full of adventure, magic, danger, friendship and incredible twists. The book was made in 1900 and was best-selling children’s book for 2 years also it was followed by 17 sequels. When I read the book, it made me feel like I was inside it watching them and I could picture them in my mind. The author- L. Frank Baum – was born in 1856 and to he is still well known to this day. Frank’s literary inspiration came from the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson. The book made me have different ideas in my mind about what would happen next when I finished reading a paragraph, but every time I started a new paragraph it would be something totally new and magical to what I thought it would be like.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Here is the synopsis :                                                                                        Dorothy, a young girl from Kansas, gets blown away to the land of Oz in a cyclone and is then separated from her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. Her house falls on the Wicked Witch of the East, so she is looked upon as a sorceress and saviour. Dorothy then sets out to find the Great Oz so he can return her to Kansas, next she meets Scarecrow, Tin Woodman and Lion who all want their wishes to be granted by Oz.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 I hope my review has made you want to read the book and if you have already read it please comment and tell me what you think or try to watch the movie.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth book in the Harry Potter series. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again J.K. Rowling is an amazing writer and I hope that one day I can be as good as her at writing stories. The Goblet of Fire is one of the best books in the HP series, but I’m pretty sure I say that about every Harry Potter book! The book really pushes your imagination and is so brilliantly made just like the rest of them.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Here is the synopsis:                                                                              Harry Potter and his friends are in  their fourth year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry and things are looking bad. Harry’s name is entered into the Goblet of Fire, but he is under-age, Harry is picked to represent Hogwarts alongside Cedric Diggory in the Triwizard Tournament- this makes Ron unhappy and he doesn’t trust Harry anymore so Harry has to try and make it up to him…read the book for the rest…                                                                                                                                                                                                                               I hope my review has intrigued you to read the book and if you’ve already read it please comment and tell me what you think about it.:)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the Harry Potter book series. It’s very imaginative and well made and just so brilliant. I hope one day I can make books as great as J.K. Rowlings ones.

Synopsis,

Harry Potter is now in his second year of Hogwarts, his year is going quite well until strange and scary things start happening. Harry starts to hear weird voices unlike any he’s ever heard before, soon after that Hermione is petrified and Ginny, Ron’s sister, vanishes…

I love this book even more than the last one and I can’t think of a fault. One of my favourite parts is when Harry comes up to his room and finds a cute little house elf named Dobby jumping on his bed.

I hope my review has made you want to read the book and if you have already read the book please E-mail me and tell me what you think:)

Awful Auntie by David Walliams

Awful Auntie is a great book, it’s scary, exciting, sad and happy. It’s all you could ever wish for in a book and I think it will be a classic in the future.                                                                                                                                                                          Synopsis,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Stella Saxby, a mere girl of twelve is the sole heir to Saxby Hall after her parents, Lord and Lady Saxby died in a car crash. Billionaire Boy by David Walliams

david walliams

Billionaire Boy is one of the funniest books I have ever read! It is a really good book to read before bed, if you want to fall asleep smiling or in the day-time- or at all really! I think David Walliams is one of the best children’s book authors in the world, he writes things like a kid and that appeal to us even though he is quite old and that is why Billionaire Boy is one of my favorite books ever.  I can’t stop giggling every time i think about it 🙂                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Here is the blurb,                                                                                             Meet Joe Spudd, the richest 12-year-old in the world. Joe has everything he could ever wa nt : his own Formula One Racing Car, a thousand pairs of trainers, even an orang-utan for a butler!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Yes, Joe has everything he wants, but there’s just one thing  he really needs: a friend…                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               I hope you enjoy the and hope my review has interested you in the book, if you have already read the book please E-Mail me an tell me your thoughts on the book:)

El Deafo by Cece Bell

I just finished reading El Deafo and I can honestly say that it is unlike any book I have ever read before. It is written and Illustrated by Cece Bell, but like El Deafo these aren’t just normal drawings, they are super drawings and the whole book looks like one big comic strip! (Although my mum says it’s called a graphic novel). The book is based on Cece Bell’s real life experience of growing up deaf and how it affects her life, school, friends and things. I really liked the animations and speech bubbles as you could actually see how well Cece could hear things from the way they were drawn and if it made her angry or sad.  I really enjoyed this book, it was very funny and different, or like El Deafo describes superheroes, ‘Awesome and different’. When I was younger there was a deaf girl in my old school and I wish I had read this book then so that I could understand what she might have been going through. I hope that she reads this book and that every other child does too because it makes you realise that it doesn’t matter if you look different, everyone really just wants to be treated the same and with kindness. I would definitely recommend this book to other children and even adults because anyone can be a good listener like Cece if they try hard enough.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone by J.K. Rowling

A year ago on my seventh birthday my mum and dad bought me the Harry Potter book collection which I really really love. They are funny and J.K Rowling describes things very vividly, and I just really really like her books because she is an inspirational, amazing genius woman. Some of the things I like about Harry Potter is that it’s very magical ( of course) and full of adventure, I think I’m most like Hermione because I love reading and I’m a tiny bit like Ron because I am really scared of spiders.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Here is the blurb,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Harry Potter thinks he is an ordinary boy. He lives with his Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and his cousin, Dudley, who make him sleep in a cupboard under the stairs. Then Harry starts receiving mysterious letters and his life is changed forever. He is whisked away by a beetle-eyed giant of a man and enrolled in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The reason: Harry Potter is a wizard!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              I highly recommend this book, if you have not read it why don’t you read it i’m sure you will love it. If you have read it please tell me what you think because I would love to hear your opinion on this book:)
